Maniquies.............Mannequins

 Hay dos cosas a las que no me puedo resistir por mas que lo intente. Son mi talón de Aquiles.

 Una de ellas es un buen restaurante. Jamás, jamás te diré que no a ese plan.

Y la otra es un brocante, rastro, mercadillo de segunda mano o almacén de derribo. Adoro perderme entre los puestos, toqueteando (cuando se puede) todos y cada uno de los objetos que esperan una segunda oportunidad de brillar de nuevo.

Muebles con historia, telas antiguas, relojes, cuadros, espejos....la lista es infinita.

Pero sin duda uno de los objetos que me vienen a la cabeza cuando pienso en un brocante son los maniquíes antiguos, de cualquier tamaño, color, material. son siempre un complemento ideal en cualquier rincón o sobre cualquier mueble.

No lo dudes, si visitas algún mercadillo o rastro y ves uno, agárralo por la cintura y para tu casa.

There are two things in the world I cannot resist, no matter how much I try, they are my weaknesses: one of them is a good restaurant, I can never, never say no to that.

The other one is a fair, second hand market, or close out sales. I love to get lost among the stalls, touching (if allowed) each and everyone of the objects that are laying there waiting for a second chance to shine again in a home.

Furniture with history, old fabrics, clocks and watches, pictures, mirrors… the list is endless.

However, beyond doubt one of the things that comes to my mind when I think of a fair is mannequins of any size, colour, material… They are always an ideal accessory in any corner of the house or on a piece of furniture.

So, don’t hesitate, if you visit a market and see one, just grab it by the waist and take it home.
