Restaurantes especatculares, The Jane Antwerp

No debes perdertelo.

If you really are a devout enthusiast of restoration you shouldn’t lose a minute and visit this temple of cuisine and good taste, and those words were never better used. It is built in an old chapel belonging to the Army Hospital in Antwerp (Belgium). The Jane Antwerp open its doors under the command of Sergio Herman, rated with a Michelin star, and his assistant Nick Brill.

The team of designers of Piet Boon Studio has made a wonderful restoration, trying to preserve as many original elements in the chapel as possible and expertly adding newly made ones.
The high ceilings, the glass windows, the infinite space in the transept of the chapel, where they place the dining area, overwhelm you creating the atmosphere for the coming culinary experience.

You shouldn’t miss it.

Loft en Brooklyn.....¿El paraiso?. .........A loft in Brooklyn, Paradise?.

Anyone who knows me a bit would know, but for those of you who happen to discover me today I’ll tell you a secret: I ADOOORE NY. I realize that it’s not very original because this city leaves no one indifferent. It absolutely fills the enormous expectations that anyone could have had about it.

In a prior post we stayed in Chelsea, at the marvelous Highland hotel, and today we will visit another neighborhood, the bustling and extravagant Williamsburg in Brooklyn. Williamsburg is a paradise of vintage shops, art galleries, the coolest bars and restaurants, and pioneer in turning old factories in dazzling lofts. It the secret hiding place of Hipsters.

Do you want to uncover it? You might stay in this stunning loft that I am presenting to you. It has the right mixture of industrial vintage, contemporary and functional. It even has a touch of Union Jack decor, so trendy these days.

There are shops where you would never set a foot in even if your life was at stake simply because they are boring places, no charm, and no better or worse than any other shop. However, there are places where just after crossing the door you begin to feel vertigo and cannot decide where to lay your eyes or your hands.

This is the case with Baileys Home&Garden. The shop is in Herefordshire, and once in you would not want to leave ever. Recycled furniture, chesterfield sofas or piles and piles of the most diverse objects, all of them inside a stunning cottage.

Escaleras vintage...Vintage ladders.

It is rather surprising to notice how industrial objects originally design to be nothing more than functional can be transformed as time goes by and trends change in cult objects for decorators.

This is the case with ladders. Old painter’s ones, or electrician’s or builder’s, worn and torn by time and use, get a new life in the most unexpected corners and not precisely to go up and down…

In the bathroom, as a towel rack, as a bookcase, as a bed head, bed side table, o just leaning on the wall. The possibilities are infinite.

Esta es mi favorita....¿La vuestra?.
This is my favotire...What about yourse?
